There were so many wonderful comments yesterday. It was incredibly hard to have to choose winners. Congratulations to Jennifer Farrell, Eve and Carla Dunne and Lily Fitzgerald who were chosen. Today we're changing sport (and county) again.
Does anyone know who these boys are?
Comment with names and 2 facts please. Good luck:-)
Well done to the girls who entered our competition yesterday. The answer was of course Seamus Coleman and there was some great research done on him. Special congratulations to Ellen Murphy (6th class) and Caoilfhinn Glynn (1st class) who were picked out for the prizes.
Our new sportsperson today plays a different sport. Clue: Ms O' Donoghue is a big fan!!!
Comment with his name and 2 interesting facts please:-)
On May13th we had a visit from the Active Schools accreditor. He came to meet the staff and pupils on the committee, view some demonstrations, resources and affirm all the hard work St. Brigid's has done this year. During the visit Ms Keogh's class did a demonstration of Super Troopers activities, both first classes did a 'GoNoodle' demonstration and 6th class set up our playground games for the Junior Infants. He was very impressed by everything and we received our first Active flag following this visit. Thank you to our committee, all staff and pupils and our Parent's Association for helping us to achieve this flag. We had great fun along the way too.
See the slideshow below for some pictures from the day.
We really enjoyed our early morning workouts during Active School Week. We thought it was a great way to wake up our bodies and brains before school. Thanks to all the children on the committee who came in early to help us set up and run the circuit training. See the slideshow below for some of the fun activities.
We had a lovely afternoon down in Na Fianna last Thursday. 3rd to 6th class came to watch the football team and teachers play a football match. It was very enjoyable although a little more competitive than envisaged:-)!!! The red team won by a small margin. Thanks to our referees for the day Anna and Emily. Also thanks to Na Fianna for the use of their pitch anytime we need it.
